Legends and stories abound regarding the tremendous gorge carved into Godsring, but actual facts regarding the creation of the Scar are few and, in some cases, contradict each other. That the Scar was crated through some event or action outside of natural processes seems clear to scholars, but the effects of its creation destroyed nearly all records in that area of Saavd. Documents and oral traditions depict an incredible loss of life and far-ranging changes to the very landscape and weather all over the region and beyond. Also known as The Great Rift, the Endless Chasm and similar titles, the Scar is home to a myriad of creatures, benign and hostile, many of which can only be found within the depths of the Scar. Even today, only a small part of the mysteries of the Scar have been uncovered.
